Your Responsibilities as an Residential Electrician
The responsibilities of a residential electrician involve a range of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential settings.
- Installations: Install electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and circuit breakers in new and existing residential buildings.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Diagnose and repair electrical issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
- Upgrades: Upgrade electrical panels, add new circuits, and replace outdated components as needed to meet current standards and enhance system performance.
- Compliance: Ensure all electrical work is performed in accordance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain electrical issues, recommend solutions, and provide clear, accurate estimates and timelines.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations, and complete necessary paperwork.
- Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and practices to ensure a safe working environment and minimize risk.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $15.00 to $28.00, and depends on your experience and knowledge.
